Comedian Whitney Tyson is significantly far from the spotlight as her career went down in flames.
Whitney, whose real name is Bonnie Fowler, rose to stardom in the late 1980s when she booked a role in the defunct hit comedy and variety show “Goin’ Bananas”. There she starred alongside big names such as Christopher de Leon, Edgar Mortiz, and Al Tantay.

But unlike those artists she shared the limelight with, the entertainment industry turned its back at the comedian. Slowly, Whitney could no longer clinch a spot at shows.
Now that more than a decade had passed, Whitney now lives in a resettlement area in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan together with her mom.
She shared that a few years back, the actress was residing in a house under a bridge in Sta. Mesa. But unfortunately, it turned to ashes when a fire broke out that gutted thousands of houses along theirs.
“Nawalan ako ng show. May nakilala naman akong pulis, dito sa ilalim ng tulay nakatira. So kinausap ko kung pwede dun na lang ako mag-move.”
Now, Whitney is tirelessly hosting in provincial fiestas to earn money. Also, she works in a Videoke bar where she spends some nights in.
“Ang buhay ko parang langgam, kahit walang tulog sugod nang sugod kung san ang schedule namin,” she said.
