Mamoudou Gassama just went from being an undocumented African immigrant to being Paris’ very own “Spiderman” after he was spotted saving a four-year-old child through a superhuman feat of strength and agility.
Gassama was just on his way home when he suddenly spotted a commotion in front of a tall building. Naturally, he was drawn to it, what with almost everyone in the crowd screaming and having their fingers pointed upwards. As he went to take a look, the 22-year-old man was shocked to find a crying baby dangling from a balcony on the building’s fourth-floor.
What did he do?
Instead of calling for help from the authorities, he made his way through the crowd and immediately scaled four stories using his BARE hands. Within 30 seconds, Gassama had the baby safe in his hands.

After his remarkable deed made waves online, French President Emmanuel Macron himself invited Gassama to the Elysee Palace to personally commend him for his courageous act. Even better, the real-life “Spiderman” was naturalized as a citizen of Paris, as well as offered work within the Paris Fire Brigade.
During his interview with Le Parisian, Gassama said that it was on instinct that he acted as quickly as possible.
“I did not think of the floors, I did not think of the risk. I did it because it’s a child. I really like children.”
Quel courage .. bravo à ce jeune du 18eme pour cet acte héroïque 👏🏼
